Sunday School Overview
Christian Light provides churches with five levels of Sunday school curriculum. Each level includes a pupil’s quarterly and teacher’s guide.
- Preschool – Up to age 5.
- Primary – Ages 6-8, Grades 1-3.
- Junior – Ages 9-11, Grades 4-6.
- Intermediate – Ages 12-14, Grades 7-9.
- Adult – Ages 15 and up, with Youth and Adult classes using the same quarterlies and teacher’s books.
The lessons in first four levels rotate on a three-year cycle, and the Adult level rotates on an eight-year cycle that covers all the books of the Bible. The Adult quarterly includes suggested Bible readings for weekdays leading up to the Sunday lesson.

Adult Curriculum Revision
Starting with the December 2026 to February 2027 quarter, changes were made to the Adult quarterly format.
The scope and sequence remain the same, with studies from portions of all the books of the Bible in an eight-year cycle. We aim to give teachers useful study tools and tips for teaching. We want to give students an engaging resource to encourage study before class.
Responding to user feedback, we’ve made the teacher’s section easier to use, streamlining it from eight pages to four. The teacher’s content is formatted in numbered lists instead of prose form. We’ve rewritten and consolidated commentary sections into a single commentary for both teacher and student.
Student quarterly features:
- User-friendly format with updated fonts and lined margins for notetaking.
- Expanded quarterly introductions with maps and timelines where applicable.
- Explanations for obscure words and phrases.
- A “Lesson Setting” section that highlights notable people or political and cultural context.
- Questions structured into three categories to draw students from surface observation to deeper interpretation to life application.
The Youth and Adult material is combined into a single quarterly, eliminating the need for separate books for Youth and Adult classes. We recognize that teachers are well-positioned to tailor lessons and questions to the needs and ages of their students.

Sunday School Order Info
Be sure to mark whether this is a standing order. If nothing is marked we will send the order for one quarter only. If you mark it as a standing order, we will automatically send the same materials each quarter until you notify us of a change. If you need to make changes in your standing order, notify us before January 15, April 15, July 15, or October 15 for the following quarter.
We send invoices each quarter for that quarter’s material. If you have a small order and prefer to pay for several quarters or a year at one time, you may do so, but please make note on the order that you are paying for future quarters. Multiply the price by the number of quarters you are paying for and send payment for that amount.
If your order changes frequently, and you prefer to order each quarter, leave the standing order box unchecked. You will receive a renewal notice via mail, and your new order should be submitted by January 15, April 15, July 15, or October 15. If you do not reorder, you will not receive material for the following quarter.
Sunday school materials are sent postpaid as long as we can send them the cheapest way. If you need them shipped a different way for faster delivery, we will be glad to do so, but will bill you for the postage.
